my brothers recent departure for america's west coast, the huge obsession with americana in fashion and tupac's 'california love' all have me frothing over anything californian. after all, california epitomises summer. i've been avidly googling hotels in palm springs this evening and apparently there very much is a 'palm springs hotel scene'. it was first brought to my attention on the wildfox and dirty blonde blogs and then again last night in the november issue of australian vogue, followed by the new superette magazine this morning. debroah sam and mary lou ryan (bassike designers) stayed at the parker, describing it as "a classic 1950s hotel with a lemonade stand and an old diner-style restaurant" and from emily of wildfox "never has there been a prettier hotel".
