Bondi Style

fashion columnist fernando frisoni accurately describes bondi as "a milkshake of good-looking people having a good time" . i spent a bit of last summer in sydney and pre-departure a copy of 'bondi style' came into my possession, it proved a perfect 'warm up' for the sydney summer providing page after page of sartorial inspiration, restaurant recommendations, etc . it is the prettiest, most inspiring book i own (and it's because of this that it has pride of place on my book table). bondi style  chronicles "a snapshot of life beyond the tourist clichés exposing a highly integrated creative community" it features interviews with the likes of christine centenera (harper's bazaar fashion editor), dan single (ksubi), katie boyd and tania rickards (cassette society designers), without compromising an essential aspect of bondi culture - street fashion.

bondi is sydney's crazy and confused suburb, there are pockets of gentrification and a definite presence of  bourgeoisie but above all bondi's eclectic personality prevails.  bondi style showcases the best of this personality. in a nutshell it's an exciting and inspiring book. fashion, photography, travel and lifestyle enthusiasts alike, bondi style will appeal to all.  you can buy a copy online at their website or superette
